1/ 48 scale Dolls House KIT - Beatrix Potter's Hill Top, Near Sawrey, Lake District. This 48th scale kit is a. Model based on Hill Top, famous for being the Lakeland home of Beatrix Potter from 1905. Both the house and the surrounding area of Near Sawrey often featured as illustrations in her stories.

The model comprises the main house with two downstairs and three upstairs rooms, as well as a further two rooms and a hallway in the annexe to the rear. In 1906 Beatrix had a further house built on the side of the main house to accommodate the tenant farmer.

The tenant's house in this model has a large downstairs kitchen/living room and two bedrooms above, although this is conjecture, as the tenant's house is not open to the public. A garden wall stands to the front and one side of the model. A bench and a water pump are included in the kit.

Base when built - 38 W x 31 D x 22 H cms. Assembly by clear and precise. Text, diagrams and photo instructions.
